Day 1. Chef Gori’s Modern Gastronomy in the Ina Valley
Arriving at Senjin-zuka Park in the Ina Valley this afternoon. Our guide for this journey is Chef Gori, who was born and raised here and now creates dishes featuring local ingredients. He leads guests to visit local farmers and producers, where they begin harvesting seasonal vegetables and fruits and experiencing regional crafts like straw weaving and dried sweet potatoes. Through working in the fields and conversations with producers, it’s a moment to understand the climate and the people’s spirit of the Ina Valley. As dusk approaches, we return to Senjin-zuka Park and yado Sakurayama. Surrounded by forest and lakeside scenery, this lodge is nestled in tranquil nature, offering a special setting with views of the Alpine ridgeline. Guests can enjoy free time strolling, taking a break by the lake, or simply relaxing as they wish. As evening sets in, chefs and guests sometimes cook together using ingredients harvested that day along with the local bounty. Each dish crafted by Chef Gori weaves in stories and culinary traditions known only to those raised in this land. Sharing the finished dishes, dinner becomes more than just a meal—it’s a special time to savor the land and connect with others. After dinner, take stroll into the peaceful park. If the skies are clear. a magical moments awaits beneath a canopy of stars. A special night unfolds, woven together by the nature and people of the Ina Valley, and the connections fostered through the chef. *Accommodation: Yado Sakurayama in Sennin-zuka Park
