1. Special Performance of Kiso Bushi and Kiso Odori
Invite the Kiso Odori Preservation Society to your desired location, such as your lodging. Experience a special moment enjoying songs and dances passed down through generations up close. Preservation society members appear in yukata and geta sandals during summer, or kimono and white tabi socks in other seasons, performing circle dances accompanied by the live Kiso-bushi chant. The unique high-pitched melody echoing through the valley instantly transports viewers into the world of tradition, adding a vibrant touch to your evening.
2. Cultural Exchange Experiences
Kiso Odori is a simple Bon dance featuring 12 repeated movements. Its approachable nature means even first-timers can join right in, making it easy to step into the circle. Dancing shoulder-toshoulder with preservation society members and local participants naturally brings smiles, creating a feeling as if the local culture flows through your body. By not just watching, but singing, dancing, and connecting together, this night transforms into an irreplaceable memory.
